Post number two, here it is!
I’ve been working away like crazy with my doodles since my last post, but I figure now is a good time to mention how very slow I draw. (This is what I get for multitasking 😬)
I was going to have my second post cover the random Minecraft builds I made over the course of 8 years… Then, I realized that I’ve mostly just built roads, grown forests, raised mountains, and filled oceans. Meaning I only got to city building a month ago, with plenty of empty builds and outlines sitting around. (Inside a beautiful environment 😎)
With all of this in mind, I needed to figure out what my follow-up post was going to be about. Then it struck me, “lean into the work in progress!”
I’m taking unfinished works, sketching them on paper, and filling the space around them with whatever comes to mind! Notes and doodles. Just like my old sketchbooks that got me into Art to begin with.
After some time, I’ll turn the notes with sketches into the digital form and share them in posts like this.
The great thing is that this gives me the chance to frame my doodles with real life “stuff.” My photo shoots remind me of I-Spy books. So imaginative!
Something about pencil and paper just hits differently, and that’s coming from a digital artist here.
And just like that, all of my many thousands of random ideas are ready to be released, like an angry hoard of goblins.
Und das ist alles. Until next time…thanks for the read! 🐸
